I avoided chats for years but got hooked one year in a football chat. In 1998 I tried a few music chats and landed in a room with knowledgeable people playing trivia on a subject that I thought I knew something about. Yep, music oldies
I had started a new job and when I got home at 3am I thought I would spend a little time unwinding.
I ran into some funny people like XSMOKER, MILYMOUSE, OLDMANJOHN, and ARTBGOODE to name a few.
One of my favorite memories is coming in the room with another name and having Billy (OLDMANJOHN) come to my defense after I said something about BCTASS being a dumb redneck. It was great to have a friend defending you. Another great time for me was when XSMOKER used a joke name for a band, The Dinks for The Kinks.
As a side note I really miss NUTTIEBUNNIE.
I started coming in at other times of the day and the people were funny, interesting and always made me feel at home. I’ve only met one roomie but I hope to get to HUGYFEST one day.
By the way I am 45, never married and apparently un-marriable LOL. I am 6 ft 5 inches tall, bald and from Rome, Ga. I love 70s and 80s music and I consider myself a REM expert.
