Eddie Mugavero, known to most of us AOL Oldies as Mothrshdno, or simply Moth, is a “25-year Nashville veteran GRAMMY nominated songwriter, artist, producer, publisher & founder of the popular Nashville swing band, BadaBing BadaBoom”.
Eddie’s pedigree as a writer and musician is formidable and starts in the 70s where he began writing songs for his band Horse Opra, touring as an opener for such famous names as Gregg Allman, The New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Commander Cody And His Lost Planet Airmen, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Four Seasons, Merle Haggard and the Marshall Tucker Band, to name but a few.
He formed his own publishing company, Ed Mugavero Music (BMI) in the 90s after a brief partnership with friends Bob Dellaposta, Susie Stephens and Stan Scherr.
LynnMarie recorded his song “That’s What I Like About The North” for her album “One Look” which was re-released on her Grammy nominated record, Party Dress in 2006.
In 2000, Eddie appeared with Martina McBride (The so-called Celine Dion of Country Music) in the documentary “Country Music: The Spirit of America”.
In 2004, his band BadaBing BadaBoom appeared in the motion picture, High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story, performing “Martini Time”
Since 2005 he has been working for former BadaBing BadaBoom vocalist Rebecca Sayre, writing the words to her music.
Eddie lives in Nashville with his two cats, and when he is not busy writing, he is an avid NY Yankee & NY Giant fan.
one of my proudest moments as a songwriter (Eddie Mugavero)
The photo pictured above is of Eddie performing Everybody’s Somebody’s Star with Rebecca Sayre on vocals for the Make A Wish Foundation. Eddie has called this one of the proudest moments as a songwriter, as this benefit concert raised over 7.000 $ for the charity. Please observe the copyright on the pic.
The video below is by his band BadaBing BadaBoom, love it 😉
