Andrews, Julie – Feed The Birds

One of our favorite things to do especially in the winter time to do is make sure the birds (our fine feathered) friends have food. I love the cardinals even the females are pretty in their own right. I like looking for the robins to appear which usually signal spring is on the horizon. My favorite bird is the hummingbirds but they don’t come around til late spring and the summertime. We do feed our guys year round . The thing about that is once in a while a bear will come around, make a mess with the lines the feeders hang on and scare me and the dog. I yell at the bears (from a safe distance and Jack my ferocious ankle biting daschund (so he thinks) barks at him threatenly, then bears run away. I don’t leave any more food for a few days and the bear goes on his merry way.

For the month of April and most of May I will be using bird songs with some type of bird in the title, lyrics or group name even though some of them may not have anything to do literally with birds. Today it does and I’m starting with the song Feed The Birds from Mary Poppins.
