I was a stay at home mom and wanted to find a place that I could go to and have some fun when my child was napping. I just wanted to find a room that I had something in common with I’ve always liked varieties of music and its always been a big part of my families life—so I stumbled across the Music Oldies room. That was in 1999. Phew., where does the time go?? LOL.
I live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and my name is Tracy. I’m 27 years old, married with one child. My favorite music would have to be Motown. I was lucky enough to go to HUGYFEST2001, where I met a ton of roomies. It was really neat to come face to face with all the people I has been chatting with the previous 2 years.
I don’t come in the room much anymore, but when I did it was an all-day thing. LOL. I loved the mornings, the afternoons and especially the evenings. My favorite times seemed to be the weekends. It seemed like Friday and Saturday evening the room was always full of the regulars and sometime we would have 4 rooms going at once. When you got to the room there was so much laughter and trivia and great music. I remember how I used to scroll and If you blinked you missed something somebody said.LOL. Those were some of the best times.
I loved when everybody would come together to make a roomie feel special. Whether It was a holiday or birthday… I thought nobody did It better than the Music Oldies Regulars. There are certain people in there that have a really huge heart..and they go out of their way to make sure that you know that you have a friend in them. And that’s what it’s all about. Friendships…laughter…music… and just plain fun. Because of this room I have some friendships that I truly cherish. I still think about a lot of those people and how they have touched my life in one way or another… And I owe it all to the Music Oldie Room… without that I wouldn’t have them.
